I am gonna suggest something here, based on a discussion in another thread. Chapter: 121, P1.2 Context: the Kamehameha in comparison to the Dodonpa. Kame-sennin: “It’s no use!! A hastily thrown together Kamehameha can’t win against a Dodonpa!! The way Muten Roshi describes the comparison, I would say that the Kamehameha definitely has amp. The longer you hold it (charge) the more power you can put into it, hence amplification. If you have another viewpoint of this, I'd like to hear it

I always thought it was variable too. Actually I think pretty much every attack can have variable amplification. |

Based on the Raditz fight, it's in that realm OT: I believe all ki attacks have amp, other wise there'd be little point in using them. All ki attacks can be further powered up via keeping them in direct contact and thus, feeding more ki into the attack. However, quick charging an attack yields negligible amp |

Were you not just arguing that the KHH has no amp? |

Against Broly, it was quick charged. It had amp, but the amount was so tiny that it would have barely made a difference. Since Toei makes both the anime and the movies, it is fair to compare charging times. Compare how long it takes for Goku to fire the Warp Kamehameha vs the Broly Kamehameha |

Lmao you can't be serious. I just watched the clip and Goku was charging for 10 seconds. Now I ask you to compare that to Raditz

Okay, you got me there. He charged for longer against Broly. Darn it. Well then, my amp theory broke apart there I revise my opinion so that the Kamehameha against Broly did have amp, just not as much as the Warp Kamehameha. Is that fair? |

We don't know exactly how long he charged it for against cell in the manga though do we? So you still can't say the one against broly wasn't charged as much |

A rough list would be something like this Raditz Kamehameha: 2.22x Broly Kamehameha: 2.5x-3x Warp Kamehameha: 5x? This list assumes that it doesn't scale linearly
We know how much Toei thinks it was charged, and considering they made the Broly movie, they have authority there Edited by lazerbem, Apr 14 2014, 07:14 PM.

Personally I would have the Broly KHH and the instant KHH pretty close. In the manga Goku doesn't really charge it for as long as the anime made it seem like. Granted, it was probably still longer than 10 seconds. Raditz: 2.22x Broly: 4x Cell: 5x |

Oh good point. How much longer was the warp KHH charged for than the one on broly? And this still contradicts piccolos statement of cells KHH being weak. Is it possible that it's because goku had never charged a KHH as long as the one he did against raditz so gero took that one? |

It's pretty hard to quantify when it's on paper, but I'd say somewhere in the neighbourhood of 10-15 seconds. As for the second part, I'm under the belief that it takes practice to master an attack. Goku is very adept at using the Kamehameha because it is second nature to him. Consider Goku's very first Kamehameha that he used to blow up the car. I highly doubt that thing had any amp to it, it was just his energy put into a beam formation. I see it being the same for Cell. He doesn't have the mastery over the technique that Goku has, hence why his amp was lower. |
